OREM, Utah- November 14, 2013– Utah Tech-X celebrates the success of 10 companies who created 39 new jobs for Utah County, this year, at their TechX Top 10 awards & graduation gala. The award ceremony was held at the Lake View Room at the Utah Valley University Library with the UVU Business Resource Center as the event sponsor. Tech-X celebrated Progressive Power Solutions as this year’s #1 company. Progressive Power Solutions created 7 jobs, has 15 employees, and increased their revenue 150%. Today’s top 10 graduates created 39 jobs, employ 160 people, and have combined revenue of over $18,000,000, representing a 41% sales increase over the this last year.
T-Splines also awarded with Exit of the Year for selling their company to Autodesk for 30x revenues. T-Splines, Inc. develops surface modeling software with optimal control and full industry standard compatibility for industrial designers and CAD professionals.
“The successes of these companies are amazing” said Tech-X director Roger Andrus. “TechX graduating companies provide numerous amounts jobs in the community and continue to make our local ecosystem more robust.”
This year’s Top 10 Tech-X companies are Progressive Power Solutions, Weave, CleanTelligent Software, RockWell Window Wells, Decisions, Latter Day Products, ForeUP, Crux, Quick Request, and The Cambeo Group.
Serving as emcee for the event was Chuck Staib, founding advisory board member for Utah Tech-X.
This month marks the completion of Tech-X’s 9th semester and more than 66 companies have participated in the program so far. More than half of the companies who have participated report double digit sales growth. These companies receive 12 weeks of synergistic one-on-one mentoring from local sales and marketing experts. TechXpert mentors include: Sebo Marketing, SnappConnerPR, Griffin Hill, Corporate Alliance, Press Media, InsideSales, Launch Leads, Rev Media, SEOVOD, and BTJD Law Firm.
Bruce Rowe, owner of Sebo Marketing, has participated in Techx for the past four years, providing web offering optimization services to companies in the program. TechX named Bruce Rowe its 2013 Mentor of the Year in recognition of the above and beyond service he has provided to the companies who attend.
